This past weekend Optimize the Vizion held its seventh event and it was another phenomenal experience.  The event started by OTV visiting Chick-Fil-A on 875 MLK JR in Southwest Atlanta. There we were provided an in kind meal donation by the owner of the franchise, Quincy Springs. Quincy and his team provided OTV with a meal that included a chicken sandwich, waffle chips, chocolate chip cookie and drink. His donation was generous enough to allow the Vizionaries, chaperones and parents to all participate in lunch. Optimize extends our sincerest thanks to Quincy and his team.

After lunch, we loaded up in our cars and headed to Suntrust park. We made it to our reserved parking the venue which helped to ensure that we arrived on time to meet our speaker from the Atlanta Braves organization, Art Evans. Upon arriving to the park, we were met by our friend Keith Lewis from “I’m A Father First”. He and his group of young people joined us to hear from our speaker.

Mr. Art Evans, Director of Talent Management for the Atlanta Braves, escorted the two groups into a conference room inside of the stadium. There he talked all of the young people about how he secured his current position with the Braves and how the students can work to get in the sports world. During Q & A, our Vizionaries asked Mr. Evans some great, thought provoking questions about his experience in the world of sports. We finished the activity by taking some photos. Our meeting with Mr. Evans embodied what Optimize The Vizion is all about; exposure to all the possibilities that the world of sports can offer.

After our time with Mr. Evans, we then went to our seats in the stadium. Our seats were located in section 151 which was located in Home Run Park right behind center field. They were great seats and provided a great view of the game. We were having a great time but in order to adhere to our schedule, we had to leave in the 6th inning to get the Vizionaries to their parents by 10pm. Braves won the game 5-4 in the 10th inning.

Another great event in the books for Optimize The Vizion! Our next event will be on Saturday, August 24thwhen we visit the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Course in Atlanta. We look forward to another phenomenal event in the city of Atlanta. This will be our 8thevent and the last of the summer.
